Literally millions of individuals are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more noteworthy "great guys" of poker. Even though "nice" is associated with their names when you are playing them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In Two Thousand and Four, his tournament winnings added up to in excess of $4.4 million and he captured two immensely respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In Feb 2006 he was appointed Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel even still has the humility to talk with his fans about how they can improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an educational video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his total life earnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is 1 of the busiest players in professional poker and from Two Thousand and Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in well over one hundred tournaments. He is noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a exceptionally bad beat. As of 2006, his life time winnings are almost $6 million.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has earned 5 WSOP titles with 2 of his wins happening in 2003. Has the nickname "Jesus" due to his trademark long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw playing cards quick enough to slice through pickles and bananas. As of Two Thousand and Five his total poker tournament earnings exceeded $5 million.
