Web poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier declares "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers receive five cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you have to either make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantly to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including an amount equal to the original wager. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips even with your original bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs

- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
