Poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to 21 than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the bank. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus an amount in accordance with the initial wager. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The dealer pony’s up cash even with your original bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
