Phil Ivey has been labeled as the best poker competitor on the planet by quite a few of the top-ranked pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to New Jersey before his first birthday. His papa taught him one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to learn everything he possibly could about poker. He would tell his parents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. Phil didn’t permit the detrimental comments from other people annihilate his goal of being one of the best poker competitors on the planet.
He started playing intently after acquiring a false ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his abilities at the casinos of Atlantic City. The beginning few years for him were a teaching period and winning wasn’t a common thing at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 WSOP where he made two final tables and came away with his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, 500 Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the closing table he defeated a number of the well known professionals including but not limited to "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil made a decision to take his skills to the successive level and moved out west to Las Vegas. Phil continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players in the world.
