Web poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier saying "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers attain 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantly to the house. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus an amount on par with the original bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The dealer pays cash even with your original bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
